Synopsis

The purpose of the LEND program is to improve the quality of care for children and youth with autism/developmental disabilities (DD) by training health and related professionals to meet their needs across the lifespan. LEND programs train health and other professionals to screen, diagnose, and provide services for children and youth with autism/DD.

Eligible Applicants Public and State controlled institutions of higher education, Nonprofits having a 501(c)(3) status with the IRS, other than institutions of higher education, County governments, Native American tribal governments (Federally recognized), Private institutions of higher education, Special district governments, State governments, City or township governments, Nonprofits that do not have a 501(c)(3) status with the IRS, other than institutions of higher education, Others (see text field entitled "Additional Information on Eligibility" for clarification), Unrestricted (i.e., open to any type of entity above), subject to any clarification in text field entitled "Additional Information on Eligibility", Native American tribal organizations (other than Federally recognized tribal governments)
Additional Info on Eligibility: These types of domestic* organizations may apply:Public or nonprofit agencies, including institutions of higher education."Domestic" means the 50 states, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, the Northern Mariana Islands, American Samoa, Guam, the U.S. Virgin Islands, the Federated States of Micronesia, the Republic of the Marshall Islands, and the Republic of Palau.Individuals are not eligible applicants under this NOFO.
